I was either 7 or 8. Been obsessed with snakes since I was 2, after I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark with my grandfather. Fell in love with a big female Ball at a local pet shop that I loved going to. She was the first. I already had Garters, Ribbons, Corns, etc. at that point. Totally disregrded Balls all through my teens and half of my 20s, cause I was more focused on the bigger Pythons, Boas, Colubrids, and Copperheads. But then I started paying attention to the morph craze about 7 years ago and now I'm totally hooked. As far as I'm concerned, no other species can offer more endless possibilities to learn about genetics and keep that carrot dangling in front of you while you obsess over "What can I make next?"
