    Ball Python Addiction!!

    Ahoy!

The title says it all - I purchased my first ball python last year and got my second this year. Have always been an animal person and have had my fair share over the years, but never reptiles. I am amazed at how addictive these awesome creatures are.

Unfortunately "not allowed" to get any more until after my wedding this year (can't come soon enough, lol). Looking forward to starting a nice little collection...

I can only assume I am not the only one that has become addicted to these great snakes... How soon after your first snake did you get your 2nd, 3rd.... 20th etc. =)

Lol, it really is an addicition. I started this year with 1 snake, my normal female Lily, I got her in October of 2010. She was a pet store purchase, so I over paid but I still love her.

In February I got my first morph my little spider because Lily needed a bigger cage anyways. It pretty much snow balled from there. I bought my pastel yellow belly because I wanted to make some bees with my spider, but realized housing 3 snakes in cages was going to be a pain I built a rack. The rack was the big mistake because I built it big enough to house 12 snakes.

So in March I got my pastel yellow belly and a pair of spotnoses.

In April I got my RTB.

In May I got my butter, ph caramel glow and enchi.

June brought me my NERD lemon pastel.

And so far this month I gotten my little bee and a KSB.

I also got two crested geckos at some point between May and June, I don't remember the date.

So not all BPs, but I am now hooked on reptiles. I really want a hognose, some leopard geckos and various other snakes. I'm really looking to NARBC in Tinley Park, I want to get a BEL. ^__^

    Mmm I started with 1. A year later I had 3.
5 years later I have 47 I can't get enough of them. I don't think I'll be happy until I have 1 or more of each color and morph. I'm a kid in a candy store when it comes to kingsnake.com and expos. Oh dear I feel a relapse. 

Sounds like you know what you want! =)

I'd like to pick up a Spinner and/or Lesser, but not until next year... or later this year and if a see a female cinny for a good deal I'll grab her and see if I can get a super. Breeding is still distant though, lots to prepare/learn. Using the ol' measure twice cut once theory.

I have seen some 100% Het Pied pairs for between $400 and $500. Check out some of the sponsored sites here on BP.Net - I looked at a few and most have the HET Pied females between $300 and $400 and males around $100.

There are het pied females on kingsnake 245 and males I think 125. Something like that. I think it was underground reptiles? Not sure.
