When is too late to breed?

It is now midway through july and i was wondering if it is too late to start breeding my male to my female, because I just bought the pair a few weeks ago and they are breeding size. I wanted to know if it is already too late and I should wait till next season or can I start breeding now.

BPs can breed year round, but most people start pairing them in the fall.

No quarantine? That's something you should DEFINATELY practice. Personally, I always do a minimum 30 day qt. Even if I get them from my best friend. If you are serious about getting into breeding qt them until October. If everything still looks good start the new season with them.

Technically yes, but your female may not begin developing follicles until much later anyway. Also, take into consideration that you need to be ready for eggs if she should become gravid. I began breeding a female in mid-March and she's due to lay eggs any day now. That's only 4 months. (most females take much longer, but you have to be ready for whatever will happen) Will you have an incubator, housing for the babies, food for the babies, etc that quickly? Breeding isn't just throwing a male and female together. Be ready.

You could try putting them together now, but chances are you won't see much action right now unless the female is on a different schedule and is developing follicles now.

Since they are both new to your collection...I would QT them and let them settle in.

While I agree that quarantine procedures should be strictly adhered to, this may not be the case here. We don't know if the snakes were purchased from the same facility/breeder and have already been exposed to each other. Even in they were bought from different breeders, the risk is to one healthy snake from a possible sick snake (only two snakes in the home if I understand the post correctly). So, the risk is much lower than if the OP had multiple animals.

However, given that. Since they have only been in your home for a couple of weeks, I'd give them a month or two (if you are not going to observe quarantine procedures) to acclimate and become accustomed to their new home before trying to put the stress of breeding on the pair.
