Stay away from the tortured w.c. animals if you want to succeed in keeping monitors. There are plenty of c.b.b. species that make a much wiser choice for a neophyte keeper then a rough neck.

You have your hands full with your sav already so why not just enjoy and learn from it instead of overwhelming your self with another large w.c. species?
