I might add that back in "the day", Rhabdophis Tigrinus were fairly easy to obtain here in the states. I owned and bred a pair for years. I remember being able to go into reptile stores and seeing them on display - often mislabeled as garter snake.

Then word got out that they were causing a death here and there and they all but disappeared from sight.

Beautiful animals - smart and interactive. I had my pair up until a few years ago and neither ever offered to bite.
