I'd say both are pastels. The second is just more browned out than the first. Still, he's got a neat pattern and at just $50 each you got a good deal on them.

They look like regular pastels to me. If you are going to breed I'd use the first one, the blushing is way nicer and the yellow seems to be holding up better than the second. Good deal for both though

No black pastels have a completely different look to them.

What you have are two regular pastels. The first one is holding his color nicely and has some really nice blushing. I would opt to use him in breeding over the 2nd pastel. After he sheds, he might look a little nicer, but he still appears very browned out.
    Under Construction.....

The giveaway that it is not a pastel yellowbelly is he gave you it for 50 bucks... also the yellowbelly brightens the pastel, search for a few pictures.

This IS a pastel yellow belly and it does not matter if he is inshed or not his colors do not change. The ones in the pics you have here look like browned out pastels.

First, I'd double check the sex of that albino. Second, I'm sorry but the 2nd pastel is NOT a yellowbelly in the slightest sense. He is an extremely browned out pastel, shed or no shed. I know that it would be really cool if you'd gotten a pastel yellow belly for only $50 but all you got was a browned out pastel. Nothing more. I wouldn't even breed him. If your guy is telling you that might be a yellow belly you just have to wait for him to shed, then your guy knows nothing about yellow bellies. He doesn't have the color or side belly pattern.

i agree with you on that. im just going to get rid of the 2nd one keep the first.and the female albino is a female i checked her and another breeder friend checked her.he wanted 350 at the time for her and i offered 250 twice and i guess he needed the money so 3rd time he let me get her for the $250.
