Wish I was lucky enough...

I'm gonna try to make this story short and sweet. I finally found a pet shop about two days ago that sells rat fuzzys. I went in the store and decided to look around first before I got my fuzzy. Well one of the tanks in the store is marked "Lesser Ball Python" with the male symbol next to it. I look in the tank and see a really nice looking BP and wanted to see it. However, my wife called and I had to get my rat and leave. Being really curious I went back to the shop the next day and met a dude there that seems pretty knowledgable about BPs. He said he has 8 of his own and is going to start breeding them soon. So I asked if I could see the Lesser. He took him out and handed it to me. It's a very pretty snake and they are selling it for $350. Here's a picture of it and I don't know enough about morphs so I don't know if it's a Lesser or not but it is really nice:



I actually went back to the shop today so my daughter could see it and the snake ate so we couldn't hold him and that's why I had to take a picture while he was still in the enclosure.

Now the really interesting part of this boring story...The dude told me that someone brought the snake in the store because they were on vacation and they...pause for effect...
FOUND THE SNAKE IN THE BATHTUB OF THE HOTEL!!!!!!

If I could have been so lucky to be the guy that found this beautiful looking snake in a bathtub.

That would be a surprise to find a snake there, and a ball python yet!
It looks like a Lesser to me! And that is a good price, especially in a pet store!
You should go back tomorrow and get it!!

Does anyone else find it wrong that a pet store is selling a "rescue" for $350? I just bought a female lesser for $200 from a breeder so I guess I cant complain. Also if the pet store employee breeds snakes wouldnt he just keep it?

He also did tell me he's going to quit working there because they frustrate him so much. For one thing the store refuses to feed that BP rats and only wants to keep it on mice. I got out of the conversation that they got it before he got there but I don't know.

I see nothing wrong with that as long as it's healthy and feeding. Pet stores are generally in business to make money.
