    Woma and HG Womas are completely different - not even comparable to say Lesser/Butter because Lessers and Butters are compatible (on the same locus and arguably the same morph) while Womas/HG Womas are not compatible, they just happen to look the same.

    The regular Woma is dominant - the homozygous form looks exactly like the heterozygous (single gene) form.

    The HG Woma is co-dominant (really incomplete dominant), the homozygous form is the Pearl which is lethal and can't thrive.

    This is what I've gathered in my research on the subject atleast. There is no "hidden gene", the HG Woma is a single gene that just happens to look like a Woma but is co-dom instead of dom. Hope this helps.
