As long as your temps are fine it would be ok in terms of husbandry. It doesn't benefit the snake at all. Ball Pythons are nocturnal. This would be purely for your own purpose and might stress the snake out a bit. I use heavy shades so the snakes have a day/night cycle but use no lights myself in the snake room unless I'm feeding at night or cleaning.

    Regards,

    B

Well my thing is I like to see my snake at night when I go to bed it makes me fall asleep. Now I have a red bulb with a dimmer. And I figured that they can see the red bulb more that they can see the blue maybe?

    Re: Question

he probably will tolerate the light, but wouldn't it suck if you had natural light all day then had a light bulb all night? None of my critters come all the way out until the room is dark. The Hog however will peak out and wait patiently.

Oh...not sure how the different color light bulbs affect him, I was just talking about any light

    Re: Question

    Hi,

He will probably be able to see the heat given off by any bulb.

And please use more descriptive thread titles - I have no clue if I have read your threads before or whether I should check them as you have 4 threads with this exact title.
