    new incubator

well i went to the local appliances store today and got a gutted mini fridge for $20 that i have planned to make a incubator out of just going to take it slow since i dont have any use for it at the moment. well i had to run by the local reptile store to grab some water bottles for my rats i really need to build a rack for them but thats a different story so anyways i was talking with the people that works there and talking to them about the incubator i was going to build and he was like i have a hovabator thats been used but still works and it isnt one of the cheap ones either so i asked him how much he wanted for it and he said he would take $40 for it so i finally got my first real incubator. yay now i can start putting my males and females together. also has any1 used some stuff it looks like a brown brick i cant think of the name of it but he said it works great i havent ever heard of it for incubation instead of the white stuff i see all over here

the white stuff u see as incubation medium is most likely Hatchrite, which i use and works great...I have had great results with it...You dont have to mix it with water..You just pour it in ur egg box and put ur eggs in and thats it....Great stuff
