Future Monster... not really. Update on True SD Retic male

    Hello world!

    Glamour shot

    Did you get my profile?

They eat voraciously. The male is very chill. The female used to be but she's been a little crazy lately. I think she might be getting ready to go into shed. She eats almost twice as often as the male and was 21g heavier when they arrived.

    Regards,

    B

Thanks for sharing the pics, great looking little guy! I'm hoping to get myself a SD or two in the next couple of years. I hear the SDs tend to be flightier than dwarfs and regulars, is that true?

It's actually the exact opposite. They are very chill compared to normal retics. They aren't even head shy. I'm thinking that might come from being the apex predator on whatever secretive island these guys were originally collected from. Who knows, but they are really cool snakes. I'm exceptionally happy I decided to grab a pair.

    Regards,

    B

Sounds like my blood. She never refuses a meal even when she goes into blue.

I can't wait till those SD's get bigger. I'll bet they are going to be awesome snakes to handle with... Thanks for sharing Brian.

I'm excited for them to get bigger too. Half my excuse to get these guys was so I'd have something to feed retired rat breeders to. LOL

Is their husbandry the same as mainland retics?
