Tempgun prices
I saw a thread on here the other day about a tempgun at lowes that was really cheap, but now I can't find the link...?? Could someone let me know if they see the link? or if anyone knows where I can get a good deal on one. Thanks!

Temp guns are all about the same accuracy no matter the price (2ºF up or down) The selling points for me are what kind of batteries does it take?
I like to use something I have at home or can get at a corner store and not some crazy odd ball (I had one that used a 3 cr123a at 22$ each the cheap gun turned out not to be so cheap.)

This gun is the best one that I have. It's very accurate up to 1-2 feet away and the AAA batteries last forever. I still haven't changed them after 9 months with 50+ snakes to check.

spitzu thanks for reminding me. Rich has a great FAQ on temp guns it is worth a quick read before you buy.
Unless it is very poor accuracy the DS ratio is more important. Among other things it represents the optimal measurement distance. 1:1 - 4" 6:1 - 24" and so on. I like to get into the nooks and cranny s of the enclose so I use a 1:1 version.
every 1ºC is about 1.8ºF fyi
the General one at lowes is an 8:1 DS and accuracy is 2% or 2ºC +/- (3.6ºF up or down) not very accurate by my standards but good enough for some.

I saw it at my local Lowes, but it was only accurate to +-4 degrees. I did not buy it
