My snake likes the cooler side of his tank... A lot... Please help.

I have a little bit of a problem. Well I'm not sire if it is a problem or not, but that is why I am here. I just recently got a bigger tank for my ball python. He doesn't seem to mind it or be stressed about it too much. But every time I go to check up on him he is ALWAYS on the cool side of the tank. He loves to cram himself in the corner and just chill there for hours at a time. He would do this in his smaller tank too, but when I take him out he is freezing. It's not like the tank is too hot for him on the other side. It is how it is supposed to be for a ball python. But on the other side of the tank it is obviously much cooler because you need to have a warm and a cool side, but he always seems to be in the cool side. When I go and pick him up he is so cold! I don't know why he is doing this or if it is okay or normal for a ball python to do this. It is really scaring me. Pleases help.

What are your temperatures on the warm side and cool side? It could be to hot on the warm side. I don't think it is anything major to worry about as long as your temps are good. My male normal always lays on the cool side except for after a feeding, then he lies on the warm side to digest his meal.

Yes - what are the temps for the hot spot and the warm side ambient?

what are you measuring these "around" temperatures with?? how big is the new tank? does he have hiding spots and cover along the way to both sides of the tank?

their always gonna feel cool to the touch to us,we are warm blooded and their body temps arent gonna be 98degrees like us or above to feel warm.

Do you have 2 identical hides on either end of the cage? He might be choosing security over warmth.

My royal seems to be on the cool side all the time, but infact hes moving between them so fast and silent that i dont notice. with the warm weather he/she might not feel the need for the warm side as much
