    Newbie BP owner =)

    Hello,
My name is Dorothy and I just got my first male normal baby BP about 10 days ago. I'm a newbie at owning snakes and I don't plan on breeding or anything. So far he has eaten a f/t fuzzy after a week and looks like he is in the process of shedding. I hope he is off to a good start! I am currently studying to become a Registered Veterinary Technician so animals are my passion. I also have 5 dogs, 2 cats, a rabbit, a guinea pig, an RES, 2 bettas, and some goldfish.

Welcome, I'm new here myself, and spend most of the day lurking around, lol!

Generally if they're eating, they're off to a good start! Just keep an eye on temps and humidity, and I'm sure he'll do just fine!!

    Re: Newbie BP owner =)

Thanks everyone!! I've been doing A LOT of reading on the forums, going through old threads and learning sooo much! I've decided to move my new baby, whose name is 8-Ball, into a tub setup instead. I already have the tub (15qt), PE-1 tempgun, Acurite therm/hygro, clips, and foil tape. Still waiting for my hydrofarm thermostat and UTH to arrive. I've had him for less than 3 weeks and he's already had 3 meals and one shed! YAY! Will post pics soon. =)

Also, I'm in Northern CA (bay area) if anyone is nearby.
