centruroides exilicauda and brood
i found a gravid c.exilicauda aka arizona bark scorpion at the gramps and took it in because it was death or a luxurious life in captivity. the second night before i had a permanent enclosure momma scorpion delivered her brood.today i set up the permanent viv and moved her and her back full of scorplings into the 5.5 gallon tank after i set it up of course.
ill be posting pics of the set up and progress until then heres a pic of the momma with babies aboard in the old plastic container i caught her in a couple of hours after she gave birth.i left a dead cricket in there just in case she got hungry, giving birth to 20=35 scorplings has to leave you with an appetite.

She's looking pretty good, good luck with rearing the babies and I'm excited to see more pics! Kudos for taking her in and saving her!

thanks.i had to take her in.its scorp genocide at my grandparents when we find em.elderly and dogs dont agree with these scorpions so everything must die on the spot but my new found fascination saved this momma scorp and scorplings.

That's a really cool setup you've got for them!

Tool and Grey come hand in hand. the setup just got a little bit more cooler.i propped up a branch and added bark along the back wall.not worth a pic until momma comes out for a stroll, its finished or the lil ones are running around.

Great find for sure!! Be careful disturbing her too much. Momma scorps will eat the young if they feel inscure.
