I spent $20 for one at BB&B, with a large round platform, I can place a large bowl on it to weigh my big girls

I have that same one. Love it.

I use the included tub for weighing hatchlings and a larger dish washing tub (not sure what the actual name of it is, big black tub you can wash dishes in) for my adults.

I have that scale also. Since the bowl is too small for my snakes, I use a piece of plexiglass and a 15qt tub to weigh them in.

I use a digital gram scale from Wal-Mart. It gets the job done for me.

    Re: weight scale...what'd ya'll think?

how would i fit a bigger bowl on it, it's only 6" x 8"? i'm thinking...use a plastic tupperware bowl that my girl would fit into & just up the size of the bowl as she outgrows 'em...right?
how do ya'll balance your bigger containers on 6" x 8" though?

That's what I use my piece of plexiglass for. I lay it on the scale and then put the tub on top of it. You could also pick up one of those small litter boxes from Wal-Mart and use it.
