    Not your average Joe...

Quickie pic of TBC Bazooka Joe - a pink Bangka Island locality blood python. I can't wait to get him out into some natural sunlight to show off his true colors...fluorescent lights don't do him much justice.

This fellow is such a sweetheart of a snake too, super docile & fun to work with. LOVIN' these bloods & short-tails!

Wait...this isn't a support group? You know...support your addiction?! We're addicts over here, too.

And thank you! We loooooove sharing these critters with folks who truly appreciate them. It's nice to see more & more dedicated blood python fans out there!

    Re: Not your average Joe...

    Tori,

Blood pythons are a heavy-bodied, mid-sized Indonesian python species, Python brongersmai. They're in the python genus along with ball pythons, but are related more along the lines of "third cousins twice removed."

Blood pythons are closely related to the two short-tailed python species, the Borneo short-tailed python (Python breitensteini) and the Sumatran short-tailed python (Python curtus).

    Great question!

    K~
