Wow! Thank you for this picture. I was wondering if coolers could work. I think I'm going to go the broken CL fridge/freezer route, but still unsure about how to set up the heat tape. Lots of more research to do but I have lots of timeOriginally Posted by sho220
I went the cheapo route and used a coleman cooler...heated with 2 feet of 11 or 12 inch flexwatt controlled with a Herpstat...
I cut a piece of plexiglass to use as an inside cover so I can open the cooler and check the eggs without letting out the warm air...
I routed all the wires through the drain hole and mounted temp guages/Herpstat on front...
I picked up some wire racks from Lowes to place the tubs on...
It's a very simple setup but works great...haven't lost an egg yet...knock on wood...
Hatching baby BP's couldn't be easier...I think alot of people run into trouble by over-complicating it...
GORGEOUS bee babies ... I may be ordering a bee later today .... Such an addiction!
