another thermostat question...
ok, i have planned to buy a thermo for the next setup im going to be buying my pastel next week at the reptile expo.
My question is, i have sort of decided on going with the herpstat propotional thermo, but i see on the spyderrobotics website that there is a herpstat propotional, and one that is "grounded cords", whats the difference?
this will be going on a 30 gallon, with a medium sized head pad, most likely zoo med, and its for only one the one tank.

Grounded is for safety if you are using a metal rack. You don't need that since you are setting up a tank so save the $10 and get the non-grounded

The grounded outlet has three slots and an ungrounded does not it has two. Regular heat tape flexwatt, and uths are all 2 prong. The grounded herpstat is usually used for the oil heaters to heat a whole room.

I would sat spend the extra $10 and get grounded. With a grounded plug you can plug in a power strip later if you need to. Plus it's always a good idea to have a grounded plug.
