I checked his husbandry 858,347 times just to be sure everything was right. No change just before he started fasting so I was pretty sure it was nothing I did. The only thing I imagine it being was the drop in ambient temps in the Northeast, during the winter. Now we've had a few solid weeks of 85 and up so I figured he'd eat again.
I was considering assist feeding a few months back but spoke to some long-time BP keepers and I was advised that a healthy male can go a LONG time without eating and I should just monitor his weight. Considering what percentage of his overall weight 135 grams is, I figured he was doing okay. I did offer every 3 weeks or so, just to check but I could tell he wasnt interested. Unlike today!
also, I checked him often to make sure he wasnt losing weight faster, wheezing, clear-eyed, clear vent, clear mouth, clear nostrils, etc etc.
He even shed after not having eaten for over 6 months. Keep records so you can see what's been happening. It's invaluable.
