Do not soak or bathe before a shed. This will cause a bad and flaky shed.

Just spray down the enclosure and keep humidity high until it sheds. If you want to be positive it comes off perfect, put a thick layer of folded paper towels or a damp hand towel that has been wrung out in the enclosure to increase the humidity.

It can take a few mire days after the eyes go clear again to shed.

She may have been seeking the bowl for higher humidity. BPs do best in high humidity environments. As long as they are not sitting on a moist surface for extended periods, like weeks at a time, you cam keep the humidity as high as you want.

Like for those of us who use tubs. If we see condensation on the walls if the tub, that's fine. The bedding or paper towels is not damp. It's just condensation on the sides. Even a humid hide box full of slightly moistened moss, coco bark, or cypress mulch, is great to have in the enclosure to ensure a place for the snake to hang out when they want more humidity.
