    Re: Tarantula Collection

[QUOTE=Boanerges;1589542]Beautiful collection and pics!!! Larry says female next to it but it looks like a male to me from a ventral view? I could be wrong as it is not a clear shot or maybe you mislabled his gender? do you happen to have a ventral pic of your G. pulchra by any chance?[/QUOTE/]

You think so? She hasn't had anything to eat for MONTHS and it has been worrying me. I don't even remember when she last ate... I was thinking maybe he really is male but I see no tarsle spurs and have ruled out the possability of it being a mature male nearing his time to go. I'll try and take a closer shot of her ventral area since I haven't had a molt from her yet. I got her for my brother almost 6 years ago as a Christmas gift, now he's off in college doing his own thing so he gave her back to me.

Here are a couple of pictures of ventral shots from my G. pulchra Dhalia.

Updated pictures of my A. avicularia "Bitsy"! He or she has molted about 4 times in my care and has grown a lot. She's such a cute little fuzz butt!

The G. pulchra is looking VERY female!! They are pretty obvious when they are males. And with the Larry it is hard for me to really see a good ventral shot with that pick. Nektu said he got a good look and is sure it is female. But since you already have a female if both look the same from a ventral view you should have 2 females. Roseas are notorious for going on very long fasts!!! Larry's abdomen looks good so I would not worry at all!!

Thank you so much! Atleast I know I didn't get totally ripped off, hope so.

Well I hope she eats soon because she just worries me... It seems like she just gets irritated by the feeders and walks away from them. After about an hour I remove them though.
