"(Marquardt) failed his medicals," UFC president Dana White said. "Not only is he out of this fight and out of the main event on Versus, he will no longer be with the UFC."

The cause of Marquardt's screening failure was not disclosed, but he has tested positive for nandrolone in Nevada back in 2005.

He must have ticked Dana White off pretty good...

I am pretty sure this was his first fight at the dropped weight to 170 lbs.

I believe what I have heard so far- he made weight, but had a medical issue that he did not disclose for the last 6 weeks or so. PA privacy laws prevent Dana from revealing the reason. However, PA laws cover/protect only medical issues, not drug failures, so it appears NOT to be a drug test or failure issue.

The medical issue should come out in the next few days. Must be something crazy though, as Dana is pissed.

Nate is a Denver guy, we have sponsored him in the past, he is a really good guy. I can't imagine what it is, I hope it works out for him.
