Amazing odds and a train wreck all in the same clutch.

I bred my first time breeder female pastel with a pastel and a pinstripe. She laid 5 eggs weighing 498 grams on 4-30. Two days ago a pastel piped so I cut the other eggs. Yesterday a super pastel and a pastel came out of the egg. This morning I check on the eggs and the other three are dead in the eggs. All are fully formed and appear healthy. The three dead ones were 2 supers and a pastel. This is the first time I have lost full term babies in the egg. IT SUCKS. So from a 5 egg clutch from pastel x pastel I ended up with 3 supers and 2 pastels. Now I'm kind of wondering is my female maybe a low quality super of did I just nail the odds. Here is a pic of the female ovulating and a pic of the two surviving babies. I don't do dead baby pics. Sorry the bad cell phone I'll get better pics after shed.

    Oh that really sucks

I don't think the odds are that amazing to think she's a super, I think you just hit really great odds-it happens all the time. Plus she doesn't look like a super.

I'm thrilled that I got a super. When I bred them I was hoping for atleast one super and I got it. I just wish I knew what went wrong but it happens.

I have had her since she was a hatchling and never thought she was anything other than a pastel. I don't nomally get that lucky with odds. I was expecting to see atleast one normal. I haven't sexed them yet but the super stays if the pastel is a female she will probably stay as well.
