Hiding after eating

Ok. This could just be my paranoia setting in but today was the first time I fed my ball python. Usually he is crawling all over his cage and checking stuff out. But since I fed him he hasn't moved out of his hide. Also the mouse I fed him seemed rather large to me. But it took it without much difficulty. Just wanted to make sure he is ok.

Don't you like to take a little nap and rest after a big meal? Give him time, he has to digest now. It could have been he was hungry and that was why he was crawling all over his cage. Now he is content and loosening his belt. burrrrrp!

Our normal eats every 2 weeks and sometimes, she stays in her hide box the entire 2 weeks between feedings. She gets very upset if we try to take her out. It's no fun not seeing her move around, but it makes it easy for us to keep her tank cleaned!

Every time my ball eats, he's in his hide on the warm side for days and days!
Don't worry about it, they seek out belly heat to help them digest, and one of the hides should over the heat pad for the most part.

Hiding after eating is completely normal. Just wait about 2 days before handling again...

Speaking of hiding, is it normal for a ball to hide all day and all night. My female normal, has been hiding a lot, after i feed her i understand, and she had been in her shed cycle for the last 8 days and is almost finished. So i hope post shed that she will begin moving a little more? Opinions??

^ Yep. They get lethargic when in shed as well. My ball doesn't move apart from poking out of his hide to drink some water, and is like that until after he sheds!
After he sheds he moves around and is his same ol' self, until I feed him!
