    Punctuation, Communication and Understanding

I do not intend this to be rude by any means, however, there have been A LOT of posts lately of people needing help but typing their posts in strange ways. For instance not using periods, one sentience makes up the whole post, no spacing between sentences, not capitalizing letters, etc.

It's very hard to read and understand an issue someone is having when proper punctuation isn't used (for myself anyway and maybe for others). And the last thing you want is someone miss reading your post if its important.

I understand it's hard to type on smart phones if that's the case but please be aware that communicating your issues/experiences correctly is the best way to be understood.

Sorry for the rant. I should be the last one complaining. If it wasn't for spell check no one would be able to read my posts .

I'm dyslexic. I don't even bother to struggle with those posts. It just hurts my head. I think a lot could be solved with proof reading too. I'm not saying that I don't make mistakes (especially late at night), but I try to keep it readable.

This is hands down my biggest pet peeve on reptile forums! It drives me absolutely crazy, but I try to ignore it to the best of my abilities.

For users on a computer, and not a smartphone, I find it is best to use firefox. It has a spell check already installed, therefore making it so much easier to not mess up. You can also use a word processing program! Whatever it takes to make it more legible so I can keep my sanity is deeply appreciated!

You have an excuse! It is the people who are not esl, and are just too lazy that bother me! I enjoy reading your posts because you add a new point of view, and promote understating of your culture!

No need to apologize! . There have been a lot of new posters that might not be used to forums who I thought may not realize their typing was a bit hard to understand.

I've noticed, when it comes to those posting threads with poor grammar, they do not receive as many response as those worded well. Personally, when I open a thread with horrible grammar that's just confusing, I close it before I finish the first "sentence". Blame it on my A.D.D. and short temper, if you will, if I have to struggle to understand what someone is trying to say, I just move on.
