What have you witnessed?
What's the soonest your clutches have hatched?
Like from lay date, to dimple, to hatch.....
Im experiencing an oddity.
I thought it was a humidity thing..
I have a 7 clutch laid may 12
And at first it was just the top three dimpling
so added water even though the humidity is at 99%
They aren't inflating like they did before(happens once)
I know its possible for them to begin dimpling at 40 days.
But the first 3 started at 32 days (guesstimate)
And now one more has started yesterday....

To anyone who has read my last couple post,
These are the same pics but its just to show an example.
They aren't massively dimpled but my thought remains
The 3 on top are closest to heat and the one on the bottom left isn't
But is beginning to dimple too.
Normal? I may have a problem?
All candle healthy and whatnot
Im still thinking they will hatch ahead of schedule.
And the bottom 3 that aren't dimpled will hatch a lill after...

Did your snake llay on time? or did she hold onto the eggs & lay late?

Is it possible that something in the incubator is drawing moisture away from the eggs?

The only time I've ever seen this is when I bred cresteds and the eggs usually never maid it. I wish I could help you with why

I don't think so... the container is sealed and I have a therm/hygro in with the eggs and it says 88.4 and 99% humidity...

my last clutch from last year dimpled i wanna say around day 34 ish. humidity was fine and they both pipped on day 55 and hatched with no problems. My female did hold onto the eggs a a little longer than my other females before she laid. Dunno if that has anything to do with it.

Edit: so I checked the water reservoir and it was empty... im sure that was the problem. Filled it and soaked the sponge inside again....
Checked on the eggs to... they are alot more squishy I guess I could say...
But I candled them and big dark masses and big veins and I can make out a couple of bodies.... in 2 eggs I can see a couple babies :-)
So we will see if I fixed the issue and if they reinflate

I was kinda thinking a combination of 2 days late to lay
And the three dimpled now are the closest to the heat source as well...
