My back yard 2011 (wild herps everywhere)

I live on a large 40 acre parcel of mixed habitats, I have overgrown meadow lands, wetlands, a creek and forest, so wildlife is abundant providing many photo opportunities... enjoy.

This little one posed for me before leaving.

Lampropeltis Triangulum are very abundant here..

Storeria Dekayi are also very abundant here.. see them every day.







This one was "rescued" from a neighbor who is afraid of snakes, all it wanted to do was bask on the porch stairs..

Look close, there is 2 garter snakes together in this pic.. hard to imagine they are both the same exact species, the variability of Thamnophis Sirtalis is amazing.
