Hi everybody,

I just need to get this of my heart. Cause i live in Belgium i'm gonna help no one with this but if just feel sad about the animals now.

There's a petstore rather closeby to my home where i go once in a while to get feeders, just because its near the trainstation where i get off when i go to school.
I noticed before that the tanks where the reptiles are in, they are always dirty. Snakeskin everywhere, poop and pee everywhere, you know what i"m talking about.
Already heared stories about people buying beardies there that where inbread wich didn't survive for more than a year, with to small eyes, swollen eyes etc.
Me myself i bought my normal female there, cause she was sitting in a spidertank with webs etc. in there, on earth that was wet etc. i just felt sorry for the little girl and knew i had a tank stil alive at home so i brought her home.
When i got home i noticed a verry big scare on her back (luckily now its gone, after about 7 sheds) and she had mites, but i tought, hey stuff happens, maybe its wildcapture... She eats, she's happy, she's fine...

Now cause of a lac of time with the endterms at school i had to get my feeders there everytime (i feed every 4 days on recommendation of the local breeder i go usually) so i could see verry good what happens in the store.

first time:
-blood python in a tank with a water bowl with algae in ith
-rats in the cage (+value of the store, i can choose my own feeders) 30% poop, 70% bedding
-1 beardie with infected mouth
-2 beardies with verry big eyes

second time:
-blood python obviously dead, still in tank, was a bit blue where he was supposed to be yellow
-rats in cage: 50% poop, 50% bedding
-beardie with infected mouth gone
- one of the 2 beardies with big eyes lying on his back? other one still moving

third time:
-blood python still in the cage!!!! flies everywhere!!!
-rats in cage: 70% poop, 30% bedding, one DRIED UP dead rat in the cage
-both beardies with big eyes gone


I really think i'm done with the store, keeping an eye on them like now made me realize im gonna get my babies sick with there food....

Now this makes me verry sad, just because i know the owner of the store himself ownes a champagne and a banana ball etc. So he can take care of his own pets but not of the ones in the store??? Sad sad sad, they should take his licence away!
