Bulgarian Ratsnake
Anyone have experience or information on this Ratsnake?
Everything I've read about them says that they're a docile larger old-world Ratsnake.
I was told they have the same requirements as the Russian Ratsnake, and a little study of their native habitat says they're from similar but drier climates. It's been hard to find any good information on these.
85' basking, 80-70 deg. Temp s
40% avg. humidity.
Semi arboreal cage setup.

As a rule, they are docile and appreciate some branches to climb and perch upon. As with any species, the personalities can vary a bit.
Like schrenckii, they hibernate for a good portion of the year. While I don't keep them anymore, I never supplied supplemental heat, and kept them at about 75 degrees. During the day the room would vary anywhere from 77 to 80 degrees and they did just fine.
