    Feeding incident...

So my ball python wanted to be difficult today. She is a little over zealous during feeding time, and decide to come out of her tub and grab the rat from my hand before i got in the tub.

So i stayed in the room to watch her make sure she didnt crawl away, and decided to get some pictures since i was stuck watching her. Well after she finished her rat she looked over at my phone, that i was using to take pictures, well i could see that look in her eye so i backed off real quick as she struck at my phone. She missed but it scared the crap out of me, lol.

    Re: Feeding incident...

    Heh heh,

    Nice pic.

I've had a couple of mine strike so hard as I was bringing it into range they completely threw themselves out of the tub and I had to catch a falling ball of snake and rat before it hit the floor.

And I burst out laughing at a hatchling that lifted the mouse so high while trying to swallow it overbalanced and fell backwards out of the tub onto the worktop.

All credit to the little nutter it kept right on swallowing.

That's awesome! My new hatchling pastel is a real aggressive little guy. He's
out of the tub with the quickness come feeding time.

    Re: Feeding incident...

My big female pastel didn't eat for 5 months before she laid 7 eggs; the second feeding after laying, she hit the large rat so hard she broke it's neck. Upon swallowing, I noticed a lump going down her throat, with the shoulders of the rat still in her mouth....she decapitated the rat
