Anyone think this is unsafe?

We got a larger enclosure for out Burm. I made a top for it out of plexiglas and cut two holes in it for heat lamps and covered them with screen. I secured the screen to the plexiglas with hot glue. The CHEs are 60w and 150w. Does anyone know if hot glue will melt with the CHEs? The package of glue said it is heated to 360 degrees in the glue gun, but I don't know.

Since I currently have an escaped snake my opinion may be biased, but if you think there is a chance of it coming unglued I would find a secondary backup method to keep in in place.

I would drill small holes and use metal zip ties. I don't trust glue. Burns are strong snakes too, so regardless of the melting, I wouldn't trust the glue. Just my opinion...

Yes it will come unglued. The hot glue will either melt or begin to deteriorate. I suggest you make holes using a soldering iron, do not use a drill it will crack the plexi-glass. I prefer to use zip-ties to tie it down, but you can use bolts, nuts, and washer.
