im heating this enclosure with a 50watt infrared heat lamp hooked up to a rheostat to keep one side at about 88-90.the problem with a heat lamp is it dries the air out sooo i made a false bottom.i live in a really dry area so with that lamp and no false bottom i was going to have to be misting the cage every hour.with the false bottom i rarely have to mist because the water from the bottom keeps evaporating throught the soil.you dont have to worry too much about the humidity above the soil just make sure the soil is always nice and moist.the humidity ground level and below will be sufficient and always more than a high placed hygrometer.sorry if i gave more info than what you were looking for.keep us posted.nice choice emps are funny lil creatures.
