    Siamese aren't rare, but they are a must in every colony, in my opinion.

    It's unfortunate, but when Siamese were first discovered, they were over bred and it not only ruined how dark their points used to be, people started having problems with them being aggressive and unhealthy. Their temperament and health are less of a problem now that they are so genetically diverse though.

    If you want to make your line have darker points/more attractive, breed her to a self (solid colored) black rat. It should be void of any markings, even feet and belly. In the litter she throws, hold back some of the self black rats (which will all be het. Siamese). At that point, you can breed them to each other (or another Siamese line) and it will darken the line's points.
