No, no hypo in him. The sunlight washed out his colors and gave him a weird ghost-like appearance. The black satins are one of the best lines of black pastel out there. I think they're much darker than the other lines, but I may be biased. I think Raul's animals are top notch.

A friend of mine cleaned up the images and added his name for me. They turned out really nice and are very close to his true coloration.

This one is a 2011. Did you get the other one Raul was selling? Or is yours an older model? lol Either way I'm sure you're probably right.

Both of your snakes are from the same parents a year apart. They are from a Black Back female to a VPI Black Satin male. The black on them is deep and has an irredescence to it so it is hard to capture on camera as it glares alot.

In my very bias opinion these are the darkest black pastels you will find. They also have alot of white scales creeping around the pattern (coming up frm the belly) which makes for a sweet contrast. I haven't produced a super yet but Tracy from VPI tells me they make the darkest supers she has seen.

I am so glad you both are happy with them. If they are as strong a breeder as their dad you will have no problem producing your own soon
