    An I got bit question

Ok so I was a dumb a$$ and I got bit by my burm. I think it ended up being an ordeal for him rather than me as I had to hold his head kind of tight so he wouldn't eat me. Anyway my question is kind of stupid. I can still handle him like normal right? I mean obviously this happened during feeding and it was my fault. But in a day or two when I go to handle him, is he going to remember me holding his head or anything?

As long as you're not a dumb a$$, you should have no problems.

But then, you should not have been a dumb a$$ in the first place.

Your burm is smart, how smart you are is another question lol.

Re: An I got bit question

Yes, you can still handle him like normal. Just make sure that you read him VERY carefully the next few handlings, if you see signs of stress then let him go back in the enclosure. You don't want to make a habit out of being bitten, whether by feeding response or other. Also, don't psych yourself out too much about it, because if you're insecure then it'll rub off on him to a certain extent too. They're smart enough to realize that it was you after they'd grabbed you, and that it was you grabbing their head and doing all sorts of unpleasant stuff to them, so just be on your toes and stay on his good side.

about 6 foot or so. Not big enough to do real damage.

Should be ok. As stated above read him well as you handle. If he's flighty or looks like he wants to bite dont give in and put him back. That is a learned behavior and he will learn quick as to what makes you leave him alone.
