BP size by sex
I'm looking at a local snake tomorrow. 12 yo normal at 4.5 feet - no weight but very healthy looking. Are females more likely to grow to that size or is it a crap shoot?

Yes females can get that length, but then again some males can also, crap shoot. Take a gamble, play those odds!!

Males can get just as big if not bigger than females. My male mojave is an 09 and is 1600g already and growing non stop.
Genetics play a role on how big the offspring will be.

Probes are pointless with Ball pythons. They can be popped at any age and size.
Dont go buying a huge/large ball python thinking its female. You will be shocked how big males can get too.

you can pop a 3000+ gram bp? I was totally unaware of that.

Just made another post. It was a boy and WAY under weight. I was estimating weight by the 4.5 foot size...he was really skinny when i saw him today. I was able to pop him and got sperm plugs too...
