My pinstripe finally shed today. She ovulated on the 12th of May. I felt 5 follicles before she ovulated. She's been paired up with my pastel and spider, so I'm hoping for some spinners and some lemon blasts!
My normal female shed pretty much on time after her ovulation. With the pinstripe laying a few days late, does this alter her expected lay date? I know they never read the manual, but in your experience, does a female who has a prelay shed later than expected (isn't it roughly 16 days after ovulation?) tend to lay later? I know some people don't use the prelay shed to make a expected lay date but instead just count 45(?) days after ovulation. Knowing Juji, I have a while to wait for eggs.
Oh and another female ovulated on Sunday. The spider female that I was breeding for my sister definitely ovulated. I had posted before about the male not breeding with her anymore and then she suddenly got pudgy. That initial pudge was just her building up to ovulation. On Sunday, when my sister was moving some of her snakes over to my house, we checked on Ari (the spider) and found her in an obvious ovulation. She was swollen, hard, and obviously uncomfortable. Then the next day when I checked on her, the swelling had gone down. Now she is staying on the warm side!Crossing my fingers for bees.
