Help! What should I do?
So I was cruising around Craigslist and came across an ad from someone giving away their 5 year old ball python for free (including cage, light, heating pad). Apparently she has scale rot and this person can't afford to take her to the vet to get it taken care of. I'm afraid if they keep her she will die.
I'm hoping someone has already called to go pick her up and take care of her but I'm worried if someone doesn't. Does anyone know how much a vet visit would be to take care of this? I don't have alot of money but can't stand to see this animal suffer.
I'm looking for any suggestions! Thanks so much!

If you don't have the cash, stay away. I'd be thinking of in the neighborhood of around 400 dollars depending on how bad it is.

Unfortunately, you can't save them all. Though, if you know of a local rescue that you can call in advance, that would be ideal. I just did this a couple days ago. Picked up a Rosy Boa with an RI and old burn scars and Jason from the Southern California Herp Association gladly took him. I have the option of keeping him once he is healthy or allowing Jason to adopt him out (which is likely what I will choose). It's really up to you whether you want to to deal with the hassle. I used an entire tank of gas and the majority of my weekend just to get this Rosy the help he needed, but it's worth it to me.

Well, you are already helping and doing your part I guess, by publicizing it on the right places to the right people. Hopefully someone could help.
