    Reptile Room er closet

Hey Guys. Well we are clearing out my old bedroom and making it a second theater room kinda of. Well there are two closets in there that we wont need so we are taking the doors off and my mom said I can do what I want with the closets. So they are 6*3 and they are gonna be my reptile closet. Im going to put the 100 gallon turtle tank with my res on top of a stand/ tank we are building for a hog island boa(cant wait to finish it). We are throwing alot away and I saw this[IMG][/IMG] tubs measure 16long 10 wide and 10 high. Its a plastic sterilite rack. I also saw this[IMG][/IMG] it measures by 30long by 1.5 wide by 1 high and theres 2. I plan on making a rack in the corner of this closet to take up remainder of space from 100 gallon tank and 4*2 cage for a hog island boa. Im going to get a breeding trio of garrick demayer when I have everything and thought I should keep the sterlite for hatchlings. On the wood shelves we were going to toss them but I thought I can put something in there with some work, any ideas? Sorry for the long post just wanted to throw this up here get some thoughts. I plan on the hog island, red eard slider, and some leapord geckos going in there. The bps are staying upstairs though. and heres the closet [IMG][/IMG] This is just top shelve for storage to lazy to take another pic. also anyone that needs help posting pics its not hard I can help

I would never use those Sterilite organizers to keep animals. Though, it would make life easier just to buy those, when you open one drawer it allows the animal from below to escape. Plus, heating would be difficult. On the other hand, you can definitely use it to store supplies.

+1, but I'll add to that. Even with the drawers closed, there are gaps between the drawer and the next shelf up that would be big enough to allow just about any animal small enough to fit in the tubs to escape at any time...

I agree on heating but it will be hot around that area as Im going to put a small halogen bulb to raise ambient temps a little bit. Now I can fix both they escape problems by shimming each box to be closer to the top and that would fix the underside. Idk Im to stubborn to give up I might try to get it to work but I agree there are some problems with the sterlite organizer

Well, if you choose to be "too stubborn to give up", just prepare for several escapes, injury risk to your animals, and a lot of difficulty with humidity and temperature. I really urge you to just use it for supply storage, but it's up to you, of course. It'd be much more ideal to just buy three individual tubs from Walmart.
