    Re: Emergency!

You pretty much just gotta LOOK for her. Some people will place a pre-killed rodent under a hide on top of a low-set heating pad. You might try that...that's about as close to a "lure" as you'll get.

Start looking everywhere around the enclosure. They often stay within 10 feet of where they started. Don't dismiss ANY openings, cracks, holes, niches as "too small" because they will astonish you at how tight a space they can fit themselves into or crawl through. Be sure to look UP as well. Especially if the snake is still young or small.

In the quiet hours of the evening or early morning, find a quiet, still activity that can keep you occupied. Turn off all tv's and music. Sit and read a book or whatever. And listen. You may very well catch the rustling sound of a snake moving.

Laying plastic grocery bags around the edges of the walls and such can help with the listening trick!

And there are other ideas folks may suggest, too! Good luck!

You can also put flour all over the floor, if she moves you'll see it but it's messy and sucks to clean up lol. I've also heard to put a heat pad on the floor with a hide on top. Check all warm dark tight spaces she could go in the same room she's in.

Pretty much what everyone else said. When mine got out, we looked everywhere for 2 days, then tried the bait idea (didn't work), then the flour trick (and found out it doesn't work if a dog sniffs through it).

Also, put a water bowl out on the floor near one of the walls. It won't necessarily help you find her, but at least she won't die of dehydration. When we finally found mine 6 days after he escaped, we put him back in his tank and he drank for a good minute straight.

EDIT: Nvm, see you found her. Yay! Congrats! 20 min, damn. You got lucky XD

    Re: Emergency!

Funny story, I had a similar situation when I had only had my ball for about a year. My roommate left the screen lid open just enough for my snake to wedge it open and escape. I looked for hours and hours with no luck. Two days later I was sitting in my recliner drinking coffee when i heard a rustling in the bathroom. Sure enough Rocky was sitting ontop of the toilet paper roll bag hanging out. stressful days.
