I have been told by my best friend (who's a 40 year old male) on a regular basis that I'm going to be alone forever because of my snakes. My response was if someone cannot accept me for who I am, I'd rather be alone. I spent almost 4 years in a miserable marriage with a man who tried to change everything about me....never again. If I can't find a man who is okay with me not only loving snakes and reptiles, but owning quite a few, then I'd rather be alone.
Edit: I went back and read the comments, I notice you keep using the word "jealous". Just for the record....from experience....that emotion gets worse before it ever gets better. If he's "jealous" of your snakes, what if you have a male friend, or go out with girl friends and he just assumes your with a guy. I went through hell because I didn't see the red flags...Just think and look into what you want in the long term.
