Get rid of one and then get a new one...

After finally re-homing my stubborn pinstripe to Kymberli this lil lassie came back to work. She has not eaten since November. I'm pretty sure this is just due to the fact that they refused to feed live, and she was never converted to f/t. The poor girl now weighs a whopping 85g. I decided to temporarily take her home to convert her, she has been setup in a qt tub since Thursday and will be getting her first live meal tomorrow. Hopefully she takes it, shes so skinny! Pics are kinda blurry because I took them on my cell phone.

Awww, poor thing is so skinny. I understand some people prefer to feed f/t, as I do too... but when a snake WON'T eat f/t, it really chaps my hide if they refuse to offer a live meal. Not to start this debate again, but nobody should have a snake if they're not prepared for that possibility. Ya know? Anyway, good luck on getting her healthy again!

I couldn't agree more. I'm counting seconds til I get off tomorrow and can hopefully get her first meal, in a long time, into her.

Best of luck, and please let us know how it goes! I'd recommend a rat pup first, in case the activity of a hopper mouse scares her... just a thought.

I will keep you guys updated for sure. Was definitely thinking small and very little movement for her first live meal. Either rat pink or mouse fuzzy, depending on availability. With how sunk in she is, I would say she is less than a half inch in diameter right now

Why on earth did it get so bad?

And please do not tell me she's going back to the same idiots if she gets healthy!

I'm afraid I'd have to lynch you if you did something that dumb.

Best wishes getting her back to just being normal.
