How easy to be disturbed?
Today, when I came home, I opened a tub and I saw my male and female were lock. It looks like at least.
This is my first time seen it. I was so afraid to disturbed. I did 't take pictures or anything. When I pushed the tub to close. They started moving and not locking anymore? Are they really this easy to be disturbed? Or they were not locking?
Will they get back to lock again soon?
Thanks

Sometimes they'll be positioned like they're locked but with no actual copulation. It also may have been that they were getting ready to copulate or were finishing up and that's why they separated quickly because of that. The first scenerio is porbably what happend, though. In my experience, they usually don't separate quickly like that if they are actually locked.

I had never thought about that. I'm interested in what other breeders say about this.

I take pictures of locks all the time, typically they won't separate if they have a good solid lock, but I'm careful not to move too quickly or bump them too hard when I take pics.
If your snakes are skittish then you want be careful when photographing them during their intimate moments
