Sumatran short-tails (sometimes incorrectly called black bloods) are typically around $100-500 depending on health, color, and sex. Females are a little bit more expensive. Inexpensive light colored babies with brown in the pattern may end up growing into brown snakes instead of black ones, and this is generally less desirable.

I've seen a few blacks that were not too much to look at but he is stellar. Especially that last picture of him. Fantastic looking snake- thanks for the pictures
