i could not have said it better myself, i too am in the same boat, i had a BP when i was a kid, and i bought another one now for the very same reasons as you.

Axel has been a lifesaver...I adore every bit of effort it takes to make him comfortable. I have dogs and cats...but it's just not quite the same. I get a feeling completely different from taking care of him. I never thought a snake would be the perfect pet...
