Help!

Ok so my female had clutch a week ago, this is my first one. I have them in a digital incubator and the temp is set to 90F and the humidity is 88% presently. The eggs are are collapsing!? what am i doing wrong?

is the humidity reading from inside the incubator or the egg tub? are the eggs in a vermiculite/perlite mix or are you doing the egg crate method? i think i know what incubator you are talking about...

The humidity reading is from inside. i have the eggs in the mix about halfway covered, like i read. The Incubator is the Reptibator by zoo med.

i would say that the humidity inside your tub is probably too low. i would put them on a egg crate inside the container and add more water to the mixture. are you using press and seal as well?.....from what i read the egg the crate is probably one of the best things since the eggs cannot get too wet from touching the substrate and you can always add more water if you need to with that method. i am using it right now in my incubator with my eggs and i'm almost through my 1st week and everything is going well..

ok i am right now incubating using the reptibator!

get a digital therm/hygro put it in right next to the eggs!
cover with plastic wrap and up the reptibators temps till the temps by the eggs is at 88.x

i had this same issue about a day or 2 ago.

definately cover the eggs with plastic wrap and your humidity will be higher in with the eggs and the temps BY THE EGGS will be maintained!

my temps set like this.

the reptibators temp is set to 94-and humidity is at 67%

BUT the tub with the eggs is plastic wrap sealed with temps at 88.4 ALL DAY AND NIGHT
with humidity at 97%
