    Kenyan Sand Boa Shedding Question

How long do these guys take to shed? is it any longer than a Ball? Hades is still in shed and I don't want to interfere until I know he needs help, his humidity is at 25-30% which is around the room's humidity, that should be enough considering that they come from an arid environment. Can you guys give me any input?

Re: Kenyan Sand Boa Shedding Question

They usually take the same amount of time as a bp, around 1 to 2 weeks. That sounds like enough humidity, but I know when I was still working at Petsmart we had a little KSB that ended up having a bad shed and we had to use the damp towel trick on him. I'm sure yours is fine though, I would only start to worry if it's been a lot longer than 2 weeks.

mine is in shed too and I use damp towels and place him inside the towels under a hide. He will usually hang out there and after a few days of changing them he makes his way out and his shed is left behind.

Well I will have to add a humid hide for him. He shed but it was a bad one, his lower scales were stuck on. I just put him in about 1.4 inch of lukewarm water for half an hour and it came off fine. Thanks for the info guys!
