Is he ok?

Our big male bp Monty is about to shed and now he is laying funny. Is he ok? We have had bp's for over a year and this is only the second time we have seen them lay like this. Poor camera phone pic, sorry!

Any chance that "he" is a "she"? It's most common to see gravid females laying like that. However, it's not unheard of for others to lay like that from time to time, as well. I'm sure he's fine!

In the center is just glass, he cleared away the bedding and is laying half on the heat pad, the lighter color is the wood the tank is sitting on. He has himself partially under the tip of his log in the top of the picture for some reason.

I had the same thought but he was probed this year as a male but he is too big to pop unfortunitly. I will keep an eye on him just in case, he is acting normal now.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Some of our males will do that when they're in blue too or after they've eaten.
