A normal, a dinker, and an enchi

Thought I would post up some pics of my ball pythons. No new ones, but new pics. Maru my normal, Pyre my dinker, and Flynn my enchi.

Starting with Maru. This guy is an 07 male CH normal ball python, that I purchased at Pet City in Kelowna. He is my first snake, and easily my favourite. not flinchy, lets me touch his head, will eat a rat mouse or a soft fur, and will eat one of each in a single day, but he only eats april through november lol. He doesn't lose weight when he fasts though, which is nice. Love this guy, now onto the pictures!

Next up is Pyre. She's an 09, but you wouldn't know it by looking at her. She's just massive for her age! She was produced by Robert Raven, of Raven Reptiles, hatched right when I started working there. She caught my eye fromt he very start, and that year Rob gifted her to me for Christmas. Thanks agian Rob! One things for sure though, she's no normal. Nope, she is bright! Like a fire or spotnose, And she gets brigher with each shed. My guess, Vanilla. I'm going to breed her to a fire hopefully 2012, if not 2013, so when I produce some vanilla creams, I'll let everyone know. If you have any thoughts on this girl feel free to speak your mind. My mind is pretty set though. You be the judge. Regardless, she is awesome, and I'm sure she's genetic(based on other observations, not revealing just yet) On to the pics!!

Now all that's left is Flynn(my ball python collection is pretty small, but potentially potent) This little guy is a 2010 enchi male, produced by Jason Hunter. When I first saw him at the Abbotsford Reptile Show in October, I reluctantly turned away. A few weeks later I emailed him up, bought him as soon as I found out he was still available! So glad I did. He's super insecure, either straight as a board, tight in a ball, or lashing out at me trying to get me to leave. Hates the camera too lol(go figure) and he has yet to actually crawl around when he's taken out, but is constantly exploring his cage at night. Weirdo. Not bad looking though I think. Still has yet to go through that enchi colour change though... and went off food so it might be a while before I see it too.... ah well! The joys of ball pythons. No better way to learn patience.

Love this marking on him, crown fit for a royal!

So those are my ball pythons, can't wait to see what becomes of Pyre. Flynn is going to ease up eventually and stop being such a nutcase, and Maru will always be my favourite lol. Thanks for looking! ~Caylan.s.~

Nice looking snakes! Thanks for sharing. That Enchi is gorgeous! I can't wait to add one or two to my collection this year when 2011 start popping up.

Thanks everyone! I figured Flynn would be a hit, everyone seems to love enchi's now adays. I wanted one so bad when I first saw them 3-4 years ago, can't believe it took me this long to pick one up. Hard to find one as nice as he is though, especially in Canada. That's gonna change though, tonnes of enchi's being produced now!
